David Melkevik (Writer/Producer)
David received most of his early training from the Cobra Kai Dojo but was expelled after failing to win a prestigious local karate tournament. Worse was to follow as that Christmas, he was left home alone by his parents and forced to protect his house from burglars. This event led to David being detained in a mental institution where he would inspire the other patients to rebel against authority and also come home at Halloween…
On release David embarked on a career as a physiotherapist – sadly it was cut tragically short after he gave a foot-massage to the wife of Marsellus Wallace. However despite being in a wheel chair, David successfully opened a school for gifted youngsters, solved a murder from his rear window and helped some ten feet tall blue aliens defend their planet against a ruthless mining corporation. He is now suing Mark Zuckenberg for stealing his idea.
David has also written an award-winning short, material for BBC Radio 7 ‘s Newsjack and his romantic comedy The Perfect Guy has been optioned by AV Pictures. He’s currently developing a new feature with Urban Way Productions while building a human centipede in his shed.
SJ Evans (Director)
After learning his trade through attending numerous workshops with people such as Stephen Frears (The Queen), Ken Russell (The Devils) and Michael Cowan (Merchant of Venice), SJ’s first job in the film industry was near the top, working as DoP on the feature film Seeing is Believing in late 2001. From then he went on to work on Short Films, Music Videos and Television Commercials before forming his own production company, Nikjaw Productions Ltd in 2002 and directing the highly successful short films The Invisible World, Blink of an Eye and Out of Reach. After being invited to become a member of BAFTA in early 2004, SJ joined forces with Sousila Pillay to re-package Nikjaw as Pillay-Evans Productions, and their HD shorts Fate and the remarkable Self were both short-listed for the DM Davies award at the Welsh International Film Festival in 2005. SJ then spent several years script doctoring numerous feature scripts before directing the feature documentary Tattoos: A Scarred History with David Carradine, John Landis & Danny Dyer. After the film was screened to ten buyers in Cannes, the film received eight offers and was eventually released UK-wide by 4Digital Media in 2010. SJ has been drawn into the horror genre, not only directing Dead of the Nite with Tony Todd and Joseph Millson, but will also direct the $2.5M horror Shadows Within with Natasha Henstridge and Corey Feldman in late 2012
